Haiku’s

Condensation went

Dripping down the bottle

Oh, that summer heat.

The river went south

Chasing the endless ocean

Wanting to connect.

I wanted to fly,

But my fears were gravity,

“It’s okay”, I lied.

Turquoise irises

Splattered freckles, warm smile

Hands to hold me close.

Brazen lost tiger.

Showed his teeth at a child,

His hunger was filled.

Kiss

Fast heartbeat, slow breaths

Sanguine cheeks and wild eyes

Cordial goodbye.

The Dirt

Blossoms hated me

Always complaining to me

Their fall was my fault
