Sitting in the airport terminal,

a TV flashed with a news story,

Some flight had a malfunction,

maybe it was the weather?

The plane went down anyway,

No survivors they said.

I thought, with a small bit of shame,

Wow, how lucky am I that wasn’t my flight?
